Glòria Pallarès

Freelance environmental and global development journalist and writer. Her work draws on more than 15 years of experience with international organizations, media outlets, and research centres. Her investigative work has empowered Indigenous communities to reject a fraudulent financial scheme covering 9.5 million hectares of forest across Peru, Bolivia and Panama. In the Congo Basin, she exposed illegal logging, mining, and carbon businesses covering 5 million hectares, an area twice the size of Rwanda, and informed a major official investigation of the legality of forestry concessions.
