Tristano Bacchetti De Gregoris

Graduated in Agricultural Engineering, and with a PhD in Microbial Ecology, Tristano has been involved in the Academia for almost a decade before deciding to change profession at the age of 35. Since then, he obtained an MBA focused on the agrifood sector and then worked as Director of Sales and Marketing for a nutraceutical company for 3 years, before becoming a full time entrepreneur. He launched 2 startups, miserably failing to validate their value propositions, before deciding to found SAE Innova, an organisation fully dedicated to research and development. He uses this latest company as a vehicle to promote system change in agriculture and a renewed human-nature relationship. Currently, he also holds the position of President of the Spanish association Rural Loop, and is an important voice in shaping the carbon removal certification framework under the guidance of the European Commission.
