Thomas Pellerin-Carlin is a French MEP (Place Publique, S&D) elected in 2024. Before joining the European Parliament, Thomas worked as a researcher and research director, specialising in EU energy and climate policy, at the Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE) (2022-2024) and the Jacques Delors Institute (2015-2022). He also worked in academia at the College of Europe (2013-2015) and the French National administration (2012).

Parallel to his civilian work, Thomas served as a French Army Reserve Officer (2016-2021). Thomas holds a MA from the College of Europe’s Master in European Political and Administrative Studies (2012-2013, Václav Havel Promotion) and an MA from Sciences-Po Lille (2007-2012, George Orwell Promotion). In addition to his native French, Thomas is fluent in English and Italian. An expert on energy and climate issues, he continues to teach at Sciences Po in Paris and at the College of Europe’s Energy Union Training Programme in Bruges.
