Malak Altaeb is an independent consultant, blogger, and researcher from Libya and is currently based in Paris, France. She has a master’s degree in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po University in Paris and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tripoli, Libya. She is a former ecological security fellow at the Center for Climate and Security of the Strategic Risks Institute and a former nonresident fellow with the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP). She is a consultant with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), which tackles water policy analysis in the MENA region and the WEF Nexus. Previously, she worked as a consultant for the American University of Cairo, tackling food security and AI in Tunisia, and worked with LUISS University in Rome, Italy, as a researcher working on an analysis of Libya’s environmental challenges through a people-centered approach.
