Alexander Hogeveen Rutter is currently the Electricity Sector Lead for Third Derivative, working on Research & Diligence for innovative ClimateTech Startups. He previously worked for multilaterals International Solar Alliance and International Finance Corporation on analyzing, promoting and investing in solar, energy storage and green hydrogen. Previously, he was a consultant with various entities in the Renewable Energy space, including Boston Consulting Group. He spent 6 years with Manitoba Hydroelectric, an integrated utility, in various roles in Distribution, Transmission and Generation, including leading work on the integration of variable renewable energy. He holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
