Kholoud Al-Ajarma is a Palestinian award-winning anthropologist, photographer, film-maker, and human right’s advocate. She is a PhD candidate in Anthropology, a graduate of International Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (MA), and Anthropology and Development Studies (Mphil). Al-Ajarma has worked in the fields of refugee studies, migration, human rights, and visual culture in the MENA region, Europe and Latin America. Parallel to her studies, Al-Ajarma works with refugee communities and many youth-led organizations in Palestine and the region developing innovative platforms for active youth participation within human rights research, media production, conflict resolution, and social justice. In 2018, Al-Ajarma was one of the winners of the Mediterranean Water Heroes Context organized by the Center for Mediterranean Integration of the World Bank. She is currently the water and migration coordinator for the Mediterranean Youth for Water Network (MedYWat) in addition to her work in the fields of knowledge production, media and anthropology.
