Lucia is supporting several projects to guide local governments and society in embedding NbS into policies and planning processes with the final goal of promoting biodiversity, tackling the impacts of climate change, creating fair and healthy societies and implementing a nature-positive economy. 

She holds an interdisciplinary Master’s Degree in Sustainability Science, Policy and Society at Maastricht University, specialising in organic agriculture, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management at the University of the Basque Country, specialising in finance and circular economy. Before joining ICLEI she worked in economic, finance and policy advocacy roles. She has been also involved in several youth-led climate organisations.
