REVOLVE is happy to present seven EU-funded projects covering a range of topics from the energy transition to sustainable mobility and climate resilience.
Come to discover energy initiatives working for more sustainable solutions to accelerate the European energy transition. Meet us at stand C3 in Charlemagne building (second floor).
REVOLVE is involved in many EU-funded projects as the Work Package leader of Communication and Dissemination, working on promoting the projects and their outcomes. Several projects will be presented: Margin Up!, CoolLIFE, COMANAGE, WATER-MINING, Regions4Climate, LEAP4SME and INDESAL.
About EUSEW
The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe and is organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). In 2023, EUSEW will take place in a hybrid format, online and onsite in Brussels, on 20-22 June.
The theme for the event is ‘Accelerating the clean energy transition – towards lower bills and greater skills’. EUSEW consists of a 3-day Policy Conference, the European Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony, the Energy Fair, and the fourth European Youth Energy Day. Participants will also have access to independently organized Sustainable Energy Days, taking place in online and physical formats worldwide, from March to June 2023.
MarginUp! is developing sustainable and circular value chains to produce bioproducts and biofuels from natural raw materials grown on marginal lands. By introducing climate resilient and biodiversity-friendly non-food crops on marginal and low-productivity lands, MarginUp! will increase farming system resilience, enhance biodiversity, and promote stakeholder participation.

The CoolLIFE project aims to address the need for sustainable solutions to the EU’s rising demand for space cooling in buildings. The project will develop open-source tools which encourage the consideration of green cooling solutions in public and private decision-making, planning, design, and implementation processes.

COMANAGE aims to facilitate sustainability and growth in renewable energy communities by co-creating an open-source toolkit to support their governance and management. Through the engagement of three key case studies in Italy, Poland and Spain, the project will provide the resources for local and regional governments to encourage the uptake and long-term success of energy communities.

Water access and its related energy, environmental and economic costs are one of the greatest challenges for society today. According to the 2030 Water Resources Group of the World Bank global water demand by 2030 is expected to exceed sustainable water supply.
The WATER-MINING project aims to face this challenge and help ensure access to clean water and sanitation by exploring alternative water sources and developing innovative solutions for sustainable water management, including tapping into urban and industrial wastewater and and seawater desalination.

The Regions4Climate project aims to collaboratively develop and demonstrate a socially-just transition to climate resilience. Based on cross-sectoral roadmaps developed together with regional stakeholders, the project will create and implement innovations combining sociocultural, technological, digital, business, governance, and environmental solutions to reduce the vulnerability of European regions to the impacts of climate change.

LEAP4SME aims to support Member States in establishing or improving effective policies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to undergo energy audits and implement cost-effective, recommended energy-saving measures through identifying the barriers for unlocking energy efficiency measures, mobilising private stakeholders, and proposing effective solutions to realise both energy and non-energy benefits.

LIFE INDESAL tackles the challenge of supplying safe freshwater from seawater, contributing to fight climate change and to the shift to the circular economy. The project aims to develop and demonstrate a novel integrated and circular seawater desalination solution with a low carbon footprint that produces multi-purpose desalinated water, renewable energy and resources simultaneously.
