Fien De Doncker holds an MSc in Geography, Earth and Climate from KU Leuven and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her work explores the interactions between people and their environment, from urban mobility to high-mountain change. After an internship at the Antenne Région Valais romand, where she discovered her interest in urbanism and mobility planning, she spent two years at 6t bureau de recherche researching sustainable mobility, mobility behaviour, and social equity in transport. Now completing her PhD at the University of Lausanne, Fien studies how climate change alters sediment export from Alpine glaciers. Alongside her research, she is passionate about science communication and visual storytelling.
