Biodiversity Scientist at Tunley Environmental
Dr. Alejandra holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Physical Geography. Her doctoral research, titled “Impacts of Coastal Eutrophication on Benthic Ecosystem Functions,” focused on estuarine environments affected by macroalgae blooms in the UK and the Baltic Sea, investigating the potential of organic carbon storage in sediment from these systems. Alejandra has extensive experience examining the interactions between human-induced impacts and natural ecosystems, particularly in relation to sediment, porewaters, and macroalgae dynamics. She is passionate about working on sustainability-related topics and is a strong advocate for climate change action and intersectional environmentalism.
