Architecture, “at play”

“REINVEST. New Returns” is the title of the third episode of ARCADE, a lecture series with an educational character, organised by the architecture studio Arquid to promote interdisciplinary thinking in architectural practice. This round table discussion takes the form of a card game played around a board, where speakers will share their knowledge and propose solutions.

This third talk will explore the economic conditions of architectural design, focusing on funding and compensation models. It will once again be developed through a creative dynamic—a card game played on an upholstered board. The goal is to shed light on how current systems influence what can or cannot be designed, explore alternatives for a fairer and more sustainable design economy, and discuss the architect’s role within a broader ecosystem of agents and material decisions.

“ARCADE 03. REINVEST” will take place on July 7 at 7:00 PM at the Roca Madrid Gallery (Calle de José Abascal, 57, Madrid) with the support of Roca, Manolo Bakes, Corona, Ondarreta, NAN Arquitectura, and REVOLVE, featuring speakers from the real estate developer Metrovacesa, the sustainable restoration team Proyectos Conscientes, and the center for innovative materials MATERFAD.
