The Interreg MED Renewable Energy Community promotes the integration of renewable energies in Mediterranean rural and island areas. With partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Italy, and Spain, we support municipalities to implement the Ecosystemic Transition Unit model (ETU) to integrate the energy transition into territorial planning, enhance local climate resilience and sustainable development, and revitalise rural areas.
The project has been 85% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg MED Horizontal Program 2014-2020.
