20 years ago, Romania was burning. As the Communist regimes in Eastern Europe fell like dominos, a wave of change washed over the dominion of Nicolae Ceauşescu – one of the crueler dictators since Stalin. These are scenes of a military coup d’état, reminiscent of South America in the 1970s.
